Newfoil Machines was founded in 1982. We are now world leaders in the field of roll fed hot foil label printing and die-cutting machines, having over 1500 system installations in 86 countries world wide. The machines are designed and manufactured at our 2,000 Sq metre factory, in the United Kingdom.
This modern facility is equipped with the latest CAD design systems, CNC machine tools and production equipment.
In-house production accounts for 95% of the machines engineering content and the advanced electronic control system is a product of our highly experienced electronics department. Having total control of the manufacturing process enables our Company to enjoy an unrivalled reputation for reliability and quality, which has now placed us as World leaders in our field.
From the launch of the first machine at the 1982 Labelexpo exhibition in Birmingham, U.K., the range of machines and options has been continuously developed and expanded. Our equipment is now regarded as the industry standard for high quality finishing and converting. This evolution has culminated in the current 500 series of presses, unique in the industry in terms of capacity, impression tonnage and versatility. Key features are increased printing and die-cutting areas, larger unwind capacity, higher running speeds, and ease of set-up. All presses can be supplied with a full range of optional equipment, which includes:
In terms of equipment, Newfoil Machines offer a flexible range of presses; from the 2500 with one printing and one die-cutting station each with a print/cut area of 160mm x 160mm. to the 5500 which has multiple print stations and one die-cutting station of 230mm x 230mm area. Through to the model 3530 with one printing and one dies cutting station with print/cut area of 330mm x 280 mm. The range has been designed to meet the needs of in-house label printing operations through to the large commercial label printing houses.
The complete range of presses from Newfoil Machines have the unrivalled ability to die-cut labels in polyester, polycarbon, kapton, polycon and other difficult substrates. In addition, by laminating and die-cutting in-line, the need for expensive pre die-cut labels and multiple passes through different machines is eliminated. Any damaged or imperfect labels can be recognized and rectified immediately, without excessive waste, thereby reducing overall label costs. Short to medium runs can be produced economically at point of use for immediate application, no inventory, no minimum quantities and no surplus stock. These machines are ideal for end user applications, such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemicals, electrical and electronic goods manufacturers.
Being essentially an engineering based company, meeting the criteria for special design projects is standard procedure. Custom designed and built machines account for a considerable amount of the company's activities. We at Newfoil Machines pride ourselves on innovation and research; We have found that this is an excellent route to advance our development within the roll label industry.

Latest additions to the Newfoil range are the 3500 Digital System and 3530. The 3500 Digital System, based on the well proven 500 series runs inline with the JEI 1225c “cool fusion” laser print engine which produces a digitally printed web to standards previously only obtainable from the most expensive systems. This system is ideal for end user applications, such as pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical manufacturers and of course, short to medium run multi-colour labels incorporating variable data information.
The 3530 was designed to meet the demand for a wider web machine and be compatible with the increasingly popular digital printing systems. The 3530 is capable of processing web widths up to 350mm wide in large commercial sized rolls. The machine comprises of three sections, unwind, main machine and rewind. Each section has been optimised to give the best possible performance.
